The First International Workshop on VLBI Observations of Near-field Targets will be held at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation, Nußallee 17, D-53115 Bonn, Germany, on October 5 and 6, 2016. All individuals, who have interests in the application of VLBI on near-field targets, are invited to attend the workshop.
The topics to be covered include
- Observations (VLBI and ΔDOR)
- Correlation and Fringe Fitting
- Miscellaneous Topics
We would like to emphasize that we also solicit tutorial presentations, which allow a better understanding of existing general concepts and are, thus, given some more presentation time.
The meeting is being organized in cooperation with Working Group 7 (Satellite Observations with VLBI) of the International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry (IVS). Details about the workshop including the program, accommodations, registration, and abstract submission are available at the meeting Web site: http://www3.mpifr-bonn.mpg.de/div/meetings/vonft
Poster and oral papers may be contributed for presentation. The fixed deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is August 5, 2016.
A small registration fee (cash) may be charged to cover coffee breaks and other small costs of the workshop. We plan to publish un-reviewed proceedings depending on the number of manuscripts registered. Fixed deadline for submitting manuscripts for the proceedings will be December 5, 2016.
