The German Research Foundation (DFG) was funding a Research Unit on
      "Magnetisation of Interstellar and Intergalactic  Media: The Prospects of Low-Frequency Radio Observations" from 2010 to 2017.
      The Research Group was lead by 14 scientists from 8 German institutes. The speaker was Prof. Ulrich Klein (University of Bonn),  vice speaker was Rainer Beck (MPIfR Bonn).
      Several positions for PhD students and postdocs for the 8 individual projects on commissioning, observations and simulations, schools and workshops, and visitor programmes were funded.

      The MKSP is involved in the Multifrequency Snapshot Sky Survey (MSSS).
