Dear GMVA Investigators and Schedulers, Please find below Version 2.0 of the Block Schedule for the coming Global 3mm VLBI session in September. The projects which are scheduled have been approved by the VLBA Scheduler and myself, on the basis of the proposal reviews in Europe and at NRAO. Thomas Krichbaum will assist in making an integrated observing schedule for the session, and PIs are asked to contact him, to specify to what extent they wish to be involved in the schedule making for the part of the schedule when their source(s) is (are) being observed. ===> PIs should contact him by 22 AUGUST. ========== The final, integrated schedule for the session will be made available to the observatories by 11 SEPTEMBER, 2 weeks before the start of the session on 25 SEPTEMBER. Antennas -------- The antennas available at the VLBA are NL,FD,LA,PT,KP,BR,OV,MK. The European telescopes ("Eu" on the block schedule) are Pico Veleta, Effelsberg, Yebes and Plateau de Bure. The latter will not participate in MM001A. The GBT will take part for some periods in project MM001A. The KVN will join the observations during 13h30 - 20h00 on day 271. ==> The Onsala-20m telescope is not available in September. Recording mode -------------- All projects will be recorded at 2 Gbps (except for Plateau de Bure, which will record at 1 Gbps with compatible, overlapping frequency bands if available.) All observatories will record using MK5 disk systems, with correlation at the Bonn DiFX software correlator. MK5 disk availability, and VLBA disk-change logistics will determine the fraction of the scheduled time which can be spent recording data. Walter Alef will make a final decision on this when all the constraints have been considered. Polarization ------------ All observations will use dual LHC+RHC polarization recording at those telescopes where this is possible. Parallel 43 GHz obervations ---------------------------- Projects GH011C, MA002A,B and MM001A will use pointing gaps between 86 GHz scans to observe with the VLBA at 43 GHz. GH011C may also observe at 43 GHz with Effelsberg instead of 86 GHz. General considerations ---------------------- ===> Please contact me (porcas@mpifr-bonn.mpg.de) IMMEDIATELY if you find any mistakes or problems with this version of the schedule.
