Preliminary Report of the Global 3mm-VLBI Session Oct. 12-14, 2006

General: the following stations have observed
         PV, Onsa, Metsa, VLBA(8)

         PdB did not participate due to scheduled general upgrade of instrument
         EB did not participate due to scheduled installation of new sub-reflector

         The whole experiment was scheduled in dual polarisation.
         PV and VLBA support dual pol.
         Onsala supports only LCP.
         likely receiver problems at MH, quality of data uncertain
         high receiver noise likely, expect only one of the two 
         polarisation channels useable (LCP).


Station Details:

Pico Veleta: excellent weather, clear sky, low Tsys, no major downtime

MH:          broken RCP channel, hot-cold performance of the working LCP channel is
             down to 2dB, most likely almost unusable 3mm RX. 

Onsa:        first two hours no Tsys in POSTOB
             Occasionally some high very TSYS. Could have been problem with the hot load.
             no major problems reported

VLBA:  VLBA_BR focus (FRM) is not working properly, attempt to repair unsucessfull, 
             BR taken out of project

             Oct. 12:
             clear at PT, LA, OV, BR, MK
             partly cloudy at NL, FD, KP
             Oct. 13:
             clear NL, FD, LA,
             overcast and later also rain at OV
             broken clouds KP
             LA Has low switched power levels and high T_sys
             Oct. 14:  OV, PT, rain towards end of exp.
