Summary of the GMVA Session, Apr. 4-9, 2019 ================================================== Stations participating: Europe: Ef, On, Mh, Ys, Pv, GLT, (NOEMA_1, only in fringe-test) US: 8xVLBA, GBT KVN: yes ALMA: was scheduled but could not particpate at all due to bad weather European Fringestest: Fringes found between all Central European stations: Ef, On, Mh, Ys, Pv, NOEMA_1 Major Issues: bad weather at ALMA, no observation heavy storm at Pico during all of the c191 Experiments, participating only in fringe test (f191a,b) and last part of c191e broken Cal-Wheel at GBT, no Tsys Effelsberg: weather was mixed, everything from clear sky to light rain. All parts of the schedules observed, no major issues. Power failure at the start of c191e (M87), starting 1 hr late Yebes: new receiver, dual polarisdation they changed the receiver location, the Nasmyth mount-type now most likely is Nasmyth-right (please double check). Metsahovi: f191a - Clear sky. Not known problems. f191b - Clear sky. Not known problems. c191c - Clear sky. Not known problems. c191d - Clear sky until around 00:00 UT (8.4.2019) - rain from around 06:00 UT (8.4.2019). Disk failure (one disk) in Flexbuff at 23:22:12 (5.4.2019). We will try to recover the disk (and data). c191e - Rain, snow and wet snow over the whole experiment. Not known problems. GBT: We have run the series of 86 GHz VLBI experiments with the GBT, C191A, B, C, and E. (GBT project codes AGMVA19A_224, AGMVA18B_039, and AGMVA18B_164). The first and last of the series, C191A and C191E, look fairly sucessful. The others, C191B and C191C had cloudy and rainy weather, so the data quality may be poor. The calibration wheel on the receiver that provides Tsys calibrations referenced to hot and cold loads, was not working. Instead, we will provide Tsys estimates based on the atmospheric Tsys calculated from data on weather and atmospheric conditions. More notes on these runs are provided on the wiki page, here: https://safe.nrao.edu/wiki/bin/view/GB/Observing/WbandVLBACal/C191 VLBA: uses new telescope control, no line pointing at 7mm, even continuum pointing at 7mm is questionable. c191a: no MK downtime 11.1% c191b: no MK downtime 16.2% c191c: no MK downtime 21.2% c191d: MK partly out downtime 3.9% c191e: no OV downtime 14.0% Below are the detailed VLBA logs.
