In general there is some uncertainty whether antenna pointing and focus
was always correct. In each project a very limited number of scans
might be lost, due to technical/computer problems.

I could not think of any major problem during the session (but I waiting
eagerly for the fringe search ;).

I recall that the overall weather conditions were not too bad, but we had
rain during part of the observation. Since Thomas et al. were actually
performing the observations, I do not have any detailed notes. I think
Thomas (or Anne)  has a hand-written, detailed log.

The observations went fine. We had no known major problems. Two minor
problems:

1. GP040: Tracking problem around 2004.110.04:46
2. GP040: Some rain around 2004.110.15:30


I had no problems with the Block Schedule. However, I would like to have
the observing schedule (skd-files) earlier next time.

I've put the log files into vlbeer and our GPS data is there, too, moved
by a weekly automated scripts on Sunday.  The tapes of c041a should have
arrived at Bonn already, the tracking report of www.ups.com says "1Z 52W
961 04 9089 105 2, Delivered on: 22 Apr 2004 10:21".  Please note that
c041b data was indeed recorded on PCEVN disks in Linux files and those are
in the PCs at Metsahovi.  If there is something on c041a tapes there is
always the option to eVLBI-transfer this c041bmh Mk5A-format data into a
correlator Mk5A, it's only 480GB.  That of course depends on if you have
an eVLBI-equipped Mk5A connected to the Internet.

We were able to check with a "CMVA Test Generator" that our LO indeed was
correctly locked to the total LO value of 85501.0MHz (+1.0MHz when
compared to the VLBA receivers... :-)  Pointing remains truly unknown and
must be thoroughly investigated before the next mm-VLBI session (around
which time will it be, in Oct-2004?).  We are quite confident that we got
the LCP/RCP right, the setup is just like at Pico Veleta with our VLBAG
rack, LCP to IF A and B and RCP to IF C and D.

The session was run  on Pico Veleta almost free of problems (as far as
Jens and me know, let see what the correlator says afterwards). Some
minor problems and , of course, the weather that escape us. No problems
on the scheduling or  procedures generation.
In the following lines i give more details.

Hi guys,
perhaps EVN sessions should be renamed campaigns,
session sounds too much like Carnival, optimally
campaign makes you think of la campagna and broad
sunlit uplands. Or it may make you think
of Napoleon in Russia..
Unfortunately the broad sunlit uplands here are
at -10C, 80km/h wind and snowdrifts reaching
1st floor windows....
