The Icefields Parkway (Alberta Highway 93) is arguably one of the most beautiful in the world.
The recommended soundtrack for the following site is Trans Canada Highway, by The Boards of Canada.
For a better viewing of the images that follow, you should maximize the size of your browser's window.
A large screen and a fast Internet connection are also recommended.
Yet, even with large pictures, it is impossible to convey the grandeur and transcendental beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
All pictures taken by P. Freire, using a Canon Powershot 610. More pictures will be added to this website. Most of these pictures were taken under very difficult conditions of illumination: I did not bring my grad filter, so I had real trouble with bright skies. Despite that, I hope you enjoy the trip!
