You can check the touristic Bonn attractions here or here.

Near to the city you can find some impressive UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites like the Castles of Augustustburg and Falkenlust in Bruehl (15km to the north of Bonn), Cologne Cathedral (35km north), Aachen Cathedral (80km northwest), the former coking plant Zeche Zollverein in Essen (100km north), or the Roman Monuments, Cathedral and Liebfrauen-Church in Trier (150km southeast).

The area around Bonn hosts one of the largest concentration of museums in Europe (not only the Museum Mile in Bonn, but also the Cologne attractions).

The Rhine is a beatiful touristic site.  The so-called Romantic Rhine covers the Rhine Valley between Ruedesheim and Bonn.  Wonderful scenery, picturesque castles and fertile vineyards are waiting for you (if you come by train from Frankfurt, please take a window seat to the right, and enjoy the views).  Epecially famous is the Middle Rhine area, 80km to the south, but the area next to Bonn is also worth.  We recommend to make a boat tour to enjoy the panoramic views, either around Bonn, or from Koblenz.

Another attractions you can enjoy are the visits to the scenic site of Drachenfels in the Natural Park of Siebengebirge (6km south), Burg Eltz (50km south), the Ahr Valley (30km south), or the Volcano Park area of the Eastern Eifel (50km south).
