From Paul Burgess: - We were able to meet all the agreed sessions. Resource limitation has meant occasional substitution of the Merlin outstations, usually Darnhall in place of Kn - will probably recur. We are resolving the polarisation swap at Darnhall. Mark5-554 had a burnout to one disk pack slot during the session. We have obtained a spare backplane and will try to repair the current one. We completed recording on one pack slot with minimal loss. There has been a phasecal drive problem for some time which we traced to connection problems: it should now be resolved. We have automated some more of the regular tasks such as getting and processing schedule: the scripts will be avialable on 'newton. ast.man.ac.uk'. Stabilised cal units are being completed for Mk2 and Kn. Cm has one already. Automated cals are provided for two outstations. Phase referencing experiments: We concluded that the Lovell on the Mk4 terminal should be used with the Mk2 on the VLBA terminal, providing 2x1gbps bandwidth. The Mk2 does the fast referencing, and is located close to the Lovell. Cambridge usually omitted. NOTE: the phaseref setup above requires VLBI staff to make a cable change, please try to avoid night-time changeovers. Paul Burgess 18 Jun 2010
