Yebes station report ** VLBI Equipment ** Mark5B is running Debian Etch, SDK 7 and firmware version 12.05. This version does not work properly when switching SATA disk packs. In order to operate with SATA disk packs it is necessary to insert the disk pack, turn the key and, after, start dimino. A new version from Haystack is on the way. ** FS ** We are running 9.10.4 on a Debian Etch host. 9.10.3 was giving constant error messages regarding lack of synchronization between the MarK5B and the FS clock. This was solved after upgrading to version 9.10.4. ** eVLBI ** The IGN has rented one 1 Gb line to Telefónica de España which connects the observatory to the spanish NREN at Madrid. The line is operative since March 16th 2009. We have made some tests between JIVE and Yebes. The line works with very low packet loss i(2.5e-5%) up to 950 MHz with jumbo frames. For the time being no lightpath has been set to JIVE. Yebes 40m took part in the 100 hours IYA observation on April 3rd at 512 Mbits/s and real time fringes were obtained for the first time. ** 40m radiotelescope ** Currently the 40m radiotelescope has got an S/X band receiver, a C band receiver and a 22 GHz receiver. The C band receiver although recently mounted will be modified in a short time to lower its noise temperature. We expect to mount a 3 mm receiver by next summer. The 40m radiotelescope has taken part in geodetic S/X observations since September 2008. We also took part in the last 2008 EVN session at 22 GHz and X band. During the NME the receiver IF was broken, but we could replace the faulty LOs by a synthesizer and took part on regular observations. On March 2009 we installed a C band receiver. We were not ready for the first EVN session at 5 GHz but we were on time for 6 GHz observations, which were sucessful. We also took part on 22 GHz observations. We still suffer from some pointing problems which are related to the encoder's mounts. MT-Mechatronics intends to work on these problems in April 2009. Pablo de Vicente
