Yebes station report ----------------------------- We have moved all VLBI equipment from the 14m radiotelescope to the 40m radiotelescope building. Prior to the movement we checked our data acquisition rack (BBCs, IFs, formatter, decoder). During the tests the formatter suffered a fault and one whole board was broken. This prevented us from checking the rest of the system. Presently we do not have an operative VLBI sistem working and therefore we look forward to upgrade our Mark5A to Mark5B and buy one VSI board to convert the Mark4 smapler into a Mark5B sampler. The maser has not been affected by its relocation. Except for the time we moved the mase we have monitored it continuously using the GPS for which now we use an optical fiber to connect it to its antenna (500 m away). We have estimated the position of the 40m from the 14m coordinates using ortophotographs, level curves of the site and the drawings for the radiotelescope tower. http://www1.oan.es/informes/archivos/IT-OAN-2005-9.pdf
