Haystack e-VLBI report 1. Routine weekly transfers of ~1.3TB of geodetic data from Tsukuba to Haystack are now being made. This includes format translation from K5 to Mark 5A and writing onto Mark 5A disks. 2. We are preparing to a demonstration at the iGRID meeting in San Diego in September. Plan is to bring 512 Mbps/station from Kashima, Westerbork, Onsala and Westford to Haystack for real-time correlation, with real-time display of correlation results on the show floor. 3. Haystack is investigating the possibility to upgrade our link from 2.4Gbps to 10Gbps. Potential problem is dispersion in fiber from Haystack to MIT Lincoln Lab. We are working with LL to try to make measurement and develop an engineering strategy, but result is not guaranteed. - Regards, Alan
