March, 22 ,2004 NOTO STATION REPORT 1) Receivers a) A new 43 GHz has been designed in collaboration with Florence group of IRA and installed in secondary focus of the antenna. At present the receiver is in phase of calibration. b) A new 86 GHz has been borrowed from Max Planck Institute and installed in primary focus of the antenna. The receiver can tilt in z and y axis with the robotic equipment of subreflector, while has been installed a step motor with 0.01 mm resolution in order to control x axis. A software has been designed to control and optimize the position of focus. At present the receiver is now in phase of calibration. c) A new UHF receiver (0.6-1 GHz) is now running, after ' a successful vlbi test'. 2) Active Surface System now it's running with good performances up to 22 GHz; test and performance evaluations in the range 34-48 GHz and 86 GHz are in progress. 3) MK5: at the moment Noto station has got 8 packs and we 'are going' to acquire 10 more packs; in this case we plan to use only MK5 system from the next VLBI session. 4) New Antenna Driving system installed in 2002 is running at Noto Station with good results up to 22 GHz;it is now optimized in order to reach good results up to 86 GHz; 5)FS version installed: 9.6.9
