Scheduling

Burgess expressed concern that some proposals that were technically non-standard were being scheduled by the EVN PC without considering problems at specific stations. Porcas felt that this situation could be avoided if each member of the PC liaised with the technical friend at his/her institute. In such cases the proposal should be made available to the technical friend. Alef reported that the PC did identify the majority of technically unsound proposals but that neither he or Franco Mantovani could deal with problems local to particular stations. Burgess asked Alef to remind the PC committee of this problem and to encourage PC members to liaise with the technical friends.
