Russia

No Russian representative had been able to attend. Schilizzi reported that a flight model of the 6 cm Radioastron receiver had recently been delivered. The Netherlands has a program of support for VLBI in the former Soviet Union (300,000 Guilders for '93-'94). Some of this money will go to running the telescopes and some to finance a Russian engineer in Dwingeloo to work on the EVN correlator. Other projects include upgrading Simeiz, Bear Lakes and Ussurissk.
