Jodrell Bank

Burgess noted that several Jodrell problems had also been reported by Westerbork. Burgess suspected that the ``head errors'' reported by the field system were not real but due to timing problems in the Field System software. There was also some discussion that the problem with the decoder might be linked with the clock regeneration PLL. It was noted that the new MkIV Field System writes track positions to the tape.
