From: Klaus Ruf The TWG meeting will be in Bologna, on Monday and Tuesday, 16th and 17th of September 1996. It will be combined with a mini-workshop on polarisation. The actual plan is to start with the workshop on Monday morning and switch over to "normal" TWG matters at late noon/early afternoon. The polarisation workshop will be organised by Kari Leppanen, in cooperation with Maria Massi and myself. His proposed list of items is annexed. Further good ideas are certainly wellcomed. For the agenda of the TWG meeting you are asked for your contributions. One important point will certainy be the VSOP experiment and its consequences for EVN operation. I'll send around the agenda after digestion of your proposals. Annex 1: 1) results from the DA193 test (5GHz only) 2) short account from technical friends as to the current and planned dual polarization capabilities at different frequencies at their stations 3) discussion on observation procedures and setups best suitable for polarization work at the EVN stations (including calibration procedures, pulse cal system etc.) 4) (possibly) discussion on how to improve the polarization purity / equipment stability 5) generation of action items/recommendations required to achieve dual polarization capability at the primary frequencies; discussion on the schedule
