IF-Processing The entire IF of the 21cm 7 beam receiver is located on a PCB in multilayer technology. The RF path is implemented using coplanar technology in order to improove its noise characteristic. FR4 material is used to achieve the required mechanical strength, RT Duroid 5870 for good RF behaviour. Only filters can be seen as discrete elements. Contact Michael Nalbach for more information.

9mm IF Processor (Polarimeter) Each IF processor plate is designed as exchangeable module. Each module is equipped with a correlator and 2 total-power channels. Every signal is applied as LINE-DRIVER-SIGNAL at the output. The signals of beam 4/5, beam 5/6 and beam 4/6 are divided by a power-divider on a correlator and a totel-power output. 5cm Receiver The IF unit of the 5cm receiver is built in classical coaxial techique. Each building block has its own case. Interconnections are made with coaxial lines and SMA connectors.
